Abbey Crouch (Abigail Marie Clancy)
Abbey Crouch is the wife of the England International footballer, Peter Crouch, who plays for the club Stoke City (Stoke City Tickets) in the Barclays Premier League.
Her pre-marriage name is Abigail Marie Clancy and she was born on 10th January, 1986. Abbey has established her career as a model and as a television presenter. She gained recognition when she was selected as the one of the finalists for the reality TV show– Britain’s Next Top Model. She made it to the finals and was the runner up of the competition. Even though, she didn’t win the competition, she garnered much attention and acclaim for his performance in the show and as a result of this, she received many offers from the modeling industry. Consequently, she modeled for many newspaper and magazines - most notably, the Arena magazine.
Abbey made it to the front cover of the Arena magazine in 2007 and in the same year, she modeled for a motor biking company in the newspaper of Daily Mail. She appeared in the magazine – Sports Illustrated – in 2010 for the swimsuit edition. This is perhaps one of her best known picture as she was selected on the fact that she was together with Peter Crouch. She featured as being topless and wearing only body paint that made it looked as if she was wearing the shirt of England.
Clancy is a very popular personality in the UK and was ranked as the 37th sexiest woman of the world in an FHM magazine poll for 2007. She has since then progressed to the 10th rank in the same poll.
Clancy has made a host of TV appearances which include appearing in documentaries and making guest appearances in various programs. She also participated in the third season of a program called “Hell’s Kitchen” and that didn’t exactly go as well for her as her earlier experience of a reality television. She was the third person to be voted off by the public. She has also served in the capacity of being a host for a reality show; she co-hosted the show called “Great British Hairdresser” in 2011.
Abbey Clancy and Peter Crouch staring dating each other in the year 2006 where she gained tremendous media coverage because the FIFA World Cup was happening at that time and we all know how big any affair related to WAG is. She was a well established model and the news that the two were dating gained much media attention. Though Peter Crouch denied the fact at that time stating the Abbey was too normal to be a WAG.However, the two finally came out in the open with Abbey shunned many offers from the model agencies of LA stating that she was could not jeopardize her relationship with Crouch for the sake of a career. However, the response of Peter Crouch was not as clear as Abbey as he had maintained till 2007 that the two were not in a relationship. Finally, on 15th July, 2009, the couples announced their engagement and two years later, Abbey gave birth to a baby daughter.
Their daughter was born on 14th March, 2011 and was named, Sophia Ruby. The two decided to marry officially after their daughter had been born. On 30th June, 2011, the couple was officially married.
