Norway's triple Olympic champion Marit Bjoergen's domination of Nordic Skiing continued on Saturday as she won the World Cup 30km race for her 34th career victory and fourth this season.
In the men's sprint, victory went to Sweden's Emil Jonsson, who extended his lead in the World Cup standings in the discipline in which he only finished seventh at the Olympics in Vancouver.
Bjoergen, Olympic champion in the sprint, beat Finnish duo Aino Kaisa Saarinen and Pirjo Muranen.
Her bitter rival Poland's Justyna Kowalczyk - who said that the Norwegian's Olympic medals were down to her taking medication for asthma which had been allowed by the authorities - lost all chance of a podium finish when she fell and had to settle for sixth.
However, Kowalczyk looks certain to retain her Crystal Globe with seven events remaining and with a 500-point advantage over her nearest opponent.
Jonsson took his fifth career success as he beat home Norwegian Petter Northug while American Andrew Newell was third.
Northug, double Olympic champion last month, gained quick compensation when he won the 50km race in front of the King Of Norway later on Saturday for his eighth career victory.
Northug beat home Italian Pietro Piller Cottrer while Vittoz of France was third.
Northug extended his lead in the overall World Cup standings as he took his total to 1285 points well ahead of closest pursuers Lukas Bauer of the Czech Republic (902 pts) while Switzerland's titleholder Dario Cologna is third (735pts).
Later Norway won the team event in the nordic combined ahead of Olympic champions Austria while Germany were third.
The athletes displayed a banner after finishing stating that the international federation should 'treat them with respect' in reference to the manner in which they had refused to halt the ski jump in the second individual event at the Olympics, even, though visibility was virtually zero.
