Amanda Knox will tell her story after signing a book deal worth a reported $4 million.
The American who discharged on appeal of the murder of her flat mate, British student Meredith Kercher will give “a full and unflinching account” of her “terrifying ordeal”, publishing giant HarperCollins said.
The 24-year-old wrote diaries during her four-year detention in Perugia, Italy, that could now be used for the record.
Harper Collins have not disclosed how much they would be paying but reports hinted the Knox deal is worth nearly $4million.
It comes after a court last year dismissed Knox’s punishment for killing Meredith, 21, from Coulsdon, Surrey.
But prosecutors asked Italy’s highest criminal court earlier this week to restore the punishmint of Knox and her ex-boyfriend Raffaele Sollecito, 27.
Prosecutor Giovanni Galati said he was “very convinced” that Sollecito and Knox were guilty for stabbing Meredith to death.
The expected appeal, marks the third and final stage in the criminal case against the duo.
They were found guilty in a lower court of killing Knox’s flat mate in what prosecutors portrayed as a sex-fuelled attack, and sentenced to 26 years and 25 years respectively.
An appeal court overturned the conviction, freeing Knox to return home to the United States after serving four years in prison.
A court-ordered DNA review in the appeal harmed the reputation of evidence used to convict Knox and Sollecito in 2009.
The appeal court in October said the guilty verdicts against the duo were not confirmed, and the court had not confirmed they were in the house when Leeds University student Meredith was killed in 2007.
