Annika Sorenstam Welcomes Her First Baby Girl

(Getty Images)Hall of Fame golfer Annika Sorenstam welcomed the newest addition to her family, announcing the birth of her first child, a baby girl named Ava Madelyn McGee. Sorenstam wrote of the birth on her blog, saying the new baby came in at 6 pounds, 10 ounces, and was 19 inches long.
Sorenstam retired from the LGPA last year, after racking up 72 victorie and 10 major titles, making her the best female golfer to play the game. At the time, she said she wanted to start a business and a family.
With the birth of the child with husband Mike McGee, it seems that Sorenstam has accomplished one of those goals. Knowing the steely determination she brought to her golf game, we can only imagine the second item on her to-do list can't be far behind.
