Sir Anthony Hopkins is best known for playing the crazy cannibal Hannibal Lecter, a man who devours his victims. But the acting legend would now rather spend his nights watching reality shows about crazy ladies. That’s right: Hopkins is a fan of the TV series “Mob Wives.” In an interview with the Guardian , the “Silence of the Lambs” star was asked what his “ideal night” would be . “Staying in and watching ‘Mob Wives’ on TV. I don’t have many friends; I’m very much a loner,” said Hopkins. “As a child I was very isolated and I’ve never been really close to anyone. Ask nothing, expect nothing. That’s my creed. We’re all just a bunch of sinners crashing around in the darkness.” Perhaps “Mob Wives” provided inspiration for his recent classical album, “Composer”? Either way, future Anthony Hopkins reviewers should take note: do not snark “Mob Wives” or ask the actor about training himself “not to blink” when he played Hannibal Lecter. ( The Guardian managed to do the latter: “What a stupid question. You don’t need to train. You just keep your eyes open,” said Hopkins.)
