DULUTH, Minn. (AP) - The National Park Service will close two Apostle Islands so sharpshooters can kill whitetail deer that are eating the native plants.The Park Service is turning to trained government marksmen who are expected to take more deer than regular hunters have in the past.The islands have already been closed to deer hunters and will be closed to the general public Sept. 28 through May 15.
