Canada first came to cricket world cup as early as in year 1979, lost all 3 matches and local fans failed to find the interest. Soon, all squads members went into different directions and for over two decades, Canada cricket failed to rise once again. Canada came back to world cup in 2003, began well by beating higher ranked Bangladesh but then lost all remaining 5 games. They qualified for 2007 edition as well but again lost all the three games..
