The
Kansas City Chiefs continued to try shore up their depth at wide reciever, signing veteran WR
Ashley Lelie. Lelie was seen at the Chiefs' practice this morning, apparently alread moved and ready to go from his time with the
Oakland Raiders last season.
Lelie, 29, was drafted 19th overall by the Broncos back in 2002, had 11 receptions for 197 yards last year, seeing only sporadic use by the Raiders. Considering the Chiefs' woes downfield Lelie should be touching the ball a bit more this season.
With Lelie in, this means that
Jeff Webb has been cut from the team.
