Asia Anna Maria Argento is an Italian television and film actress and director. According to Wikipedia: In Rome, the city's register office refused to acknowledge Asia as an appropriate name, and instead officially inscribed her as Aria Argento. Despite this, she uses the name Asia Argento professionally.
This week we highlight a new Woman of the Week Asia Aria Anna Maria Vittoria Rossa Argento who was born September 20, 1975 in Rome, Italy. Her first professional work was at the age of eight, she published a book of poems. Asia started acting at the age of nine playing a small part in a film by Sergio Citti. She was in the 1993 film Trauma, when she was 18, where she did her first nude scene. She has won the David di Donatello Award for Best Actress in 1994 and 1996. She has worked in Italian, English and French movies we know here state side for B. Monkey and Rose Hotel. In 2000 she directed and wrote her first movie called Scarlet Diva and her second movie in 2004, The Heart Is Deceitful Above All Things. She has published a novel, wrote for magazines and modeled. She starred in a series at Nick Knight’s website, SHOWstudio. When you ask around the office she was not as well known as expected but her roles in Last Days, Land of the Dead and Marie Antoinette, had definitely garnered some attention. We really took notice for the role in The Last Mistress. Asia is a smoking hot bad girl that is the life of a party and someone you cannot take your eyes off her as she is a presence. We look forward to anything she does as she is a straight shooter and fearless and a European knockout.
