No Way Festival, Ibk, Austria, The first non-yodelling festival to grace this alpine region of Tirol. Ever, well possibly?
The Festival its self is claimed to be the first of its kind by the group of energetic young promoters. Enthused by a love of art, music and skating, the team over at No Way Pulled together an impressive mix of extreme sports, music and art all under one roof. 5 rooms consisting of Two stages, Two art galleries and one stair set ramp. (For the skaters) oh and a sunny outside bar!
The line up consisted of artists from across Europe, with a well matched range of genres, hip hop to house, electro punk to pop and a smattering of techno.
Check out the lineup below.
Eric Prydz, Alice In Videoland, Hot Chip -- Dj Set, Butch, Enik, Johnwaynes, You Say France & I Whistle, Golden Reef, Wax Wreckaz, Sado Maso Guitar Club, Ibk Tribe & Band, The Basement 5, Superpursuitmode, Shape Of Light and Saha.
Alice In Videoland, the Electro pop-punk* band from Schweden finished up the main stage with a healthy dose of there catchy vibes. With 8 years of touring, 4 albums, and several lineup changes you might expect a band to look slightly tired but this was definitely not the case here. Singer/songwriter Toril Lindqvist has more bounce in her than a small happy kangaroo!! This is at least, slightly contagious.
*possible misspelling of pop.
