Ladyboys are a part of life in Thailand and there are no homophobic tendencies like their are in the States. As a tourist, if you see one and don't agree with their lifestyle it's best to just keep your opinions to yourself. Ladyboys can be former Thai boxers to military personnel. Some are professional theives and con artists. Most take estrogen hormones to look more feminine which might mess with their minds a bit.
