Briefly: While its not confirmed that Ben Affleck will direct The Stand for Warner Bros., the studio is working on a way to reel him in. Vulture has reports that when Affleck finishes his work on Argo, he will report on the set of The Stand where a screenplay written by David Kajganich will be waiting for him. This isn’t the first time that Kajganich was worked on a movie adaptation of a Stephen King novel. The scribe has also penned It, and is credited for being on a part of the team that worked on the adaptation of Pet Cemetery.
The report says that Kajganich’s script on It, was the reason why Warner Bros. hired him. I guess it was that good.
