The 2007 "Beowulf" movie featured Ray Winstone in the title role with Crispin Glover as Grendel and Angelina Jolie as Grendel's mother. Anthony Hopkins played King Hrothgar. The movie was directed by Robert Zemeckis in a digital rotoscope animation style that has become a signature for the director.
