Bighorn Canyon National Recreation Area

Jerry Case, a 32-year veteran of the National Park Service, has been named superintendent of Bighorn Canyon National Recreation Area in Wyoming and Montana. Case will assume his new position in early October.  

Desert bighorn sheep, one the Grand Canyona TMs most charismatic wildlife species.  

The Payette National Forest has proposed designating bighorn sheep habitat in the Hells Canyon and Salmon River Canyon as unsuitable for domestic grazing.
