MONTROSE — Two climbers were injured in separate accidents at the Black Canyon of the Gunnison over the weekend. The first fall occurred Saturday, when a Tennessee woman fell 30 feet down a talus slope on the Gunnison Route, which descends 1,800 feet from the canyon’s South Rim.

DENVER (AP) — A tentative agreement has been reached in a 30-year legal battle over the river that flows through the Black Canyon of the Gunnison National Park in western Colorado.  

Lawyers in the Denver office of Hogan & Hartson LLP donated more than 2,300 hours of pro bono work to help leading conservation groups secure a proposed settlement concerning water flow in Colorado's Black Canyon of the Gunnison National Park.
