The 737 is now so widely used that at any given time, there are over 1,250 airborne worldwide. On average, one takes off or lands every five seconds.
US aircraft manufacturer Boeing said on Monday that Middle East carriers will grow further after bucking the slowing trend in global travel."We see tremendous growth for the Middle East region," Randy Tinseth, vice president of marketing at Boeing Commercial Airplanes, said on the sidelines of the Dubai Airshow.
