Singer Whitney Houston, who was found dead in a Beverly Hills hotel last week, will be laid to rest at the Fairview Cemetery in Westfield, New Jersey Saturday, in the plot next to her late dad, John Houston.

Sources claim it was always Houston's wish for her final resting place to be next to her father, who died of heart disease in 2003, reports contactmusic.com.

The singer was found unconscious and unresponsive in the bathtub of her fourth-floor suite at the Beverly Hilton Hotel. She was 48.
