Hrithik is Asia’s sexiest man

After a fierce battle on micro blogging site Twitter, B’town hunk Hrithik Roshan has been awarded the tag of sexiest Asian man.

According to a survey conducted by the Eastern Eye Weekly, Hrithik topped the list of 2011 dislodging last year’s winner Ranbir Kapoor. The Greek god won the title surpassing other popular contenders by a huge margin.

Many factors like his stint on reality show ‘Just Dance’, his blockbuster film ‘Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara’ and his wax statue which was added to the Madame Tussauds museum recently attributed in his win.

“He also shot for the hotly anticipated ‘Agneepath’ remake, featured as a judge on hit TV show ‘Just Dance’ and signed up for hotly anticipated superhero movie sequel ‘Krrish 2′,” the weekly said.

Asjad Nazir, Eastern Eye showbiz editor said, “Hrithik is a worthy winner and a leading man with global appeal. This year there was a massive gap between Hrithik and the rest of the competitors. He is the perfect ambassador for India and someone who could take on anyone in Hollywood in terms of looks, talent and likeability.”

Where Shahid Kapoor stood as the surprise runner up, Shah Rukh Khan took the third spot and Salman Khan stood at the fourth position.

Other big celebrities included Abhishek Bachchan at 17, Prateik Babbar at 20, Ajay Devgn at 29 and Farhan Akhtar at 34.

The highest placed Pakistani was once again Ali Zafar at 5, the highest placed British star was Jay Sean (9) and the highest placed sportsman was World Boxing champion Amir Khan (10).

Other popular faces in the list are John Abraham (7), Akshay Kumar (9), Arjun Rampal (11), actor Imran Khan (12), Saif Ali Khan (13), Atif Aslam (16), Riz Ahmed (21), Siddhartha Mallya (31), Mahendra Dhoni (33), Aamir Khan (35) and Zaheer Khan (39).
