MUSIC: BRANDY "SILENT NIGHT" (PROD. BY KADIS & SEAN)

Sorry to say it, but I'm just as ig'nant (ignorant) as the next one when it comes to percieved Christmas songs.

Upon seeing the title for the new track by Brandy with Production duo Kadis & Sean (aka The Chase), I immediately thought "Christmas Classic" and said to myself that it'll have to wait until the actual holiday hits.

So do I mean to tell you that for that very reason I chose not to give the new joint a chance? You guessed it.

"Silent Night" is the latest in a bag of leaks to hit the net, and from the looks of the overwhelming response coupled with the singers good sport mentality (Brandy is quoted as saying "I'm glad tho" in regards to the leak), Bran'Nu was still eating her humble pie while putting it plainly that she had "SLAYED" the new track... via Twitter.

The song features the long-time-no-see songstress as she delivers her signature heartfelt vocals over faded 808 drums and an uptempo, but not over-bearing, beat. What I especially dig about it is how the intro packs that dark bass-heavy punch while Brandy bears her soul over a lover not present only to show more frustration as the beat picks back up in the hook.

"Silent Night" is rumored to be one of the final cuts off of Brandy's upcoming, and yet to be titled, studio effort and I'll say she has plenty to toot her own horn about.
