For almost 50 years, the Star Trek franchise has boldly gone where no man has gone before. Yet they did it all without any gay characters. For Next Generation producer Brannon Braga, that’s a big regret.

Having worked on three of the four Star Trek television shows since 1990 and two feature films, Braga is one of the biggest names within the Star Trek creative circle. In fact, he has more writing credits than anyone else in the entire franchise.
