Brittany Murphy’s Father Sues LA Coroner’s Office
Over two years after the untimely death of Brittany Murphy (#RIP), the actress’s father is still crying foul play. Angelo Bertolotti has reportedly taken legal action against the Los Angeles County Coroner’s Office in an attempt to obtain hair samples taken from his daughter’s cadaver.
The coroner originally determined the cause of death for both Murphy and her husband Simon Monjack (who died five months after she did) to be pneumonia and anemia, but Bertolotti hopes to disprove the ruling by testing the hair samples.
This news is particularly upsetting because it forces us to address the fact that Brittany Murphy is dead just sleeping. Can’t we just bask in our self-delusion, returning to a time when Murphy was still with us, and we were still virgins who couldn’t drive?
