watch: glasser’s arty new film short, ‘a flaw in the flat screen’

‘A Flaw In The Flat Screen’ is a new four-and-a-half-minute film of “portraits of Glasser from Ring“. Directed by Tati Barrantes and produced by Glasser’s Cameron Mesirow herself, the short cycles through nine short, intriguing sequences presumably relating to each of the album’s songs.

Mesirow has been quoted as saying that she intended the album to be a circular piece (hence the title) that can be dipped into at any point in the sequence and followed; perhaps that’s why the film ends where the album begins, with a clip of ‘Apply’ in the background. Either way, it features some of her enjoyably creepy preying mantis-like dancing.
