After a huge amount of research, I decided this tent was definitely the way for our family of four to go. I will not repeat all the previous reviews here (I read all said additional sites), but I want you to know that the latest model of this tent is now on Amazon, and not a third-party vendor. The tent is listed model number BC-9001. This option amazon.com Buy CB-9001-10 I called Amazon and I could not answerAbout the difference. Then I called 1-866-706-9377 the North Pole to the low down. CB 9001-10 is the latest version 2010
The difference with the newer model:
Added first tent out a fabulous, especially if you leave muddy boots at the door!
According Fixed pole.
The third floor is now nylon. The representative said that these reductions in noise and is also less prone to holes. It is recommended to savers under a tent. Make it easysmaller than the surface of the tent.
Further details are absent from previous reviews:
First-sheet has a coating 800mm. Tent buying guides usually recommend 1000-1500mm, but this seems tent watertight.
According Mesh netting no-see-evaluated in order.
Third seams are sealed at the factory, but said the use of three rep Kenyon sealant can be used as supplementary insurance.
Fourth Columbia recommends lining the tent. This opposite effect can control the humidity!
Fifth is aLifetime warranty on the tent, but you need to store original receipt.
Sixth Yes, the second chamber does not have its own entrance, but we have a 5 and 4 years, so I decided it was a security to us.
I hope this helps! I researched the bejeezus being, the family, the cabin-style tents, and this seems by far the best all-round tent for the price, factoring, functions, materials, quality and cost. The only other tent I was seriously considering Tent Eureka Titan Luxury family, butalmost $ 200 more, not worth the jump in price.
In summary: buy the latest model of this tent! The price is the same as competing and get free shipping. Happy Camping! I'll update my post after receiving a tent.

Specifications
Bring the family to the campsite and still have plenty of room to spare with the two-room Columbia Cougar Flats II cabin dome tent. The Cougar Flats II--which sleeps up to eight people--is equipped with both a Cyclone venting system and a GoBe Dry rain protection system. The Cyclone system greatly increases the air circulation within the tent, helping you stay cool on warmer days or dry out after a nasty rainstorm. The GoBe Dry system, meanwhile, ensures that the pounding rain won't find a way inside. The tent even includes a patented bay window design that lets you keep the windows open during the storm.
The real highlight of the tent, however, is the spacious interior, which divides its ample sleeping space between two different rooms. As a result, you can give the kids one room and the adults the other, or you can use one room as a bedroom and the other as a living space. In addition, the interior of the tent offers plenty of organizational features, such as internal pockets, cupholders for coffee or soft drinks, and a gear loft that holds your valuables out of the way. And once it's time to leave the campsite, the tent collapses quickly into a wheeled EZ Pak storage bag, which features an expandable zippered gusset for easy stuffing.
Other features include a polyester taffeta body and rainfly, steel and fiberglass poles, two separate doors, and a Camp Port for easy cable passage. The Cougar Flats II measures 15 by 7.16 by 10 feet (W x H x D) and weighs 54 pounds.

About Columbia Sportswear
Founded in 1938, Columbia Sportswear Company has grown from a small family-owned hat distributor to one of the world's largest outerwear brands and the leading seller of skiwear in the United States. Columbia's extensive product line includes a wide variety of outerwear, sportswear, rugged footwear and accessories. Columbia specializes in developing innovative products that are functional yet stylish and offer great value. Eighty-year-old matriarch Gert Boyle, Chairman of the Board, and her son, Tim Boyle, President and CEO, lead the company.
Columbia's history starts with Gert's parents, Paul and Marie Lamfrom, when they fled Germany in 1937. They bought a small hat distributorship in Portland, Oregon, and named it Columbia Hat Company, after the river bordering the city. Soon frustrated by poor deliveries from suppliers, the Lamfroms decided to start manufacturing products themselves. In 1948, Gert married college sweetheart Neal Boyle, who joined the family business and later took the helm of the growing company. When Neal suddenly died of a heart attack in 1970, Gert enlisted help from Tim, then a college senior. After that it wasn't long before business really started to take off. Columbia was one of the first companies to make jackets from waterproof/breathable fabric. They introduced the breakthrough technology called the Columbia Interchange System, in which a shell and liner combine for multiple wearing options. In the early 1980s, then 60 year-old Gert began her role as "Mother Boyle" in Columbia's successful and popular advertising campaign.
The company went public in 1998 and moved into a new era as a world leader in the active outdoor apparel industry. Today, Columbia Sportswear employs more than 1,800 people around the world and distributes and sells products in more than 50 countries and to more than 12,000 retailers internationally.

Great, spacious, perfect! - Lovetoshop - Chicago
Bought this tent (Columiba apartments Cougar), the latest version with the rain fly attached to the tent (Read more reviews and I am .. I've done, explain it). Easy setup with two people. The tent is very large. Two twin size blow up mattresses fit in any small space of the tent (SO 4 in all), but left no room to walk. It is not spacious, but work, sleep when you need that many people. The windows are really nice ... allow the air with a cover over the top! Also made it appear morespacious, up to the window as I was still sleeping space "kick out" at my side. I can not confirm, to inspire, because we are not in every field. We went with three other families, and all were amazed of our "building" as she put it. Loved him as much as we could, and came increasingly to look and check it out! beautiful large windows .... You can not go wrong! Loved it! Bring a small towel outside the door, so you can put the shoes there, etc. .. that's a must.
Worked great for me! - Greg C. Rubin - WI. U.S.A.
The first set-up was a learning curve because of the weak instructions. Anyone with common sense can do it if I can. Our first night was one of the worst storms in my history camp. 48 + mph winds and driving rain all night. The only place in the tent was leaked through the door, where the excessive coverage shot changes hinge on the sides. Ground operations appear to be the norm that come with the curtains, then this will be updated. (It 's difficult to keep something in the 48 + set, if it is wet) other than asome very small leak from the rain sideways, this thing was worth the money. With all the windows and exhaust is a very hot tent.
Cougar Flats II Teng - D. Steinhauer - Euclid, Ohio
After long research tends, I have decided to go with the flats Cougar II. We are this weekend in a Cub Scout camping trip. We had set a time in the yard, their furniture was fairly simple. I learned that I had the rain beating on the back. I turned and left about 180, of course, it rained very strong that night. We had no losses! to fly even with the rain on the wrong track. I had the seams are sealed before the trip. My only complaint is shared by manyComments are the directions that came with the tent worthless. It 'amazing that the company put so much in design, but without effort in the directions. Yeah, I know that is the color code for the most part, but the colors of the poles are not the colors in direction.
