Carrie Underwood's ex-boyfriend, Tony Romo might have dated 'pop turn to country' singer, Jessica Simpson. But it seems he still has the thing for his ex-girlfriend.
Carrie tells Allure magazine in its September issue that Tony still calls her occasionally but she doesn't always receive his call. "The phone will ring and it'll be him, and I'll maybe not answer," she noted. Even more, the season four winner of "American Idol" also explained that her past relationship with the Dallas Cowboys' quarterback wasn't serious, saying "We were both small town people doing very big things, and we relied on each other, dealing with fame."
Furthermore, Carrie who has just premiered a new music video entitled "Just a Dream" gave opinion about dating, saying "You never really know why somebody wants to be around you, or if they do genuinely like you. I wish everyone had a label on their forehead so you could automatically tell their intentions. Sometimes you just wish that no one wanted anything from you."
Being asked about her hit song "Before He Cheats," Carrie explained that the song was inspired by her true story. She revealed that she previously dated unfaithful guy, however she refused to mention his name. "I don't want to name names, even though he probably deserves it, but he fooled around," she told the magazine. "Oh, yeah, and lied! It was one of those things that everyone knew but me. He was a good liar. Nobody would come out and tell me. And he seemed perfect in every way."
Carrie dated Tony from May to Oct 2007. After that she began dating "Gossip Girls" star Chace Crawford. Her relationship with Chace ended in April 2008. However, the singer gushed whether Chace was "the man" whom she mentioned in her single "Before He Cheats," saying "We didn't have a fight. No one cheated. It plain didn't work."
