CARY Fukunaga, the acclaimed director of indie immigrant hit Sin Nombre, is in advanced negotiations to helm a new big screen version of Charlotte Bronte’s Jane Eyre.
The film will play up the gothic elements of the 19th Century tale, according to Variety, based on a script by Moira Buffini. But it will also remain true to the origins of the story, about a governess who falls in love with her surly employer who has a dark secret.
