London Last Night: Catalina Guirado’s First Exhibition
The Event: Out of Darkness Comes Light – a an exhibition of Juan Antonio Guirado’s paintings
The Venue: Sanctum Soho Hotel, Warwick Street, London
The VIPs: Catalina Guirado-Cheadle, Calum Best, Aldo Zilli, Tamara Beckwith, Sara Cox, Tamara Ecclestone, Paul Mckenna.
The Gossip: (1) Head curator was model and daughter of the late Spanish artist Juan Antonio Guirado, Catalina. In a moving, not to mention private showing, many top works were unveiled of the surrealist painter, and even Calum Best seemed to look at the art rather than the women in the room (for a bit)
(2) Paul McKenna made a surprise appearance away from his massive LA pad. We should have expected it, really. He’s always banging on about existentialism.
(3) Always on the lookout, we spotted at least 15 bottles of Voli Vodka at the bar. From the steadily growing joviality, seems others did too…
(4) Last night was thankfully far from the last we’ll see of Guirado. The exhibition runs to July 1, and further private views will take place June 23, 28 and 30.
