Charles Roven is in the news because John McTiernan illegally spied on him. Director John McTiernan has been sentenced to four months in federal prison for lying to the FBI about hiring disgraced private eye Anthony Pellicano to illegally wiretap producer Charles Roven.
Former celebrity sleuth Anthony Pellicano -- who's serving a 15-year prison term in a federal racketeering, conspiracy and wiretapping case -- pleaded no contest Friday to a criminal threats charge.
