Speaking at yesterday’s Occupy the Rose Bowl event, anti-war activist Cindy Sheehan announced to the crowd of demonstrators that she hasn’t paid a dime in income taxes since her son, U.S. Army Specialist Casey Sheehan, was killed in Iraq in 2004.

Sheehan went on to try and justify her tax evasion by saying that she wouldn’t fund “the crimes against humanity” she says are being perpetrated by the U.S. government and military.

While her motives are admirable, I’m not sure the Internal Revenue Service will agree.  I suspect Sheehan will soon be getting a most unwelcome visit.

If she suddenly disappears, we’ll all know what happened.
