Former Bastrop High and LSU star Claude Wroten has been added to the Florida Tuskers roster of the United Football League.
The 6′2, 295-pound Wroten was a third-round draft choice of the St. Louis Rams in the 2006 draft. He played in 15 games as a rookie, producing 13 tackles, a sack and a forced fumble.
Wroten had 13 tackles and half a sack in 2007 but served a four-game suspension for violation of the NFL’s substance abuse policy.
On July 23, 2008, Wroten was suspended without pay for his third violation of the NFL’s substance abuse policy.
He was waived by the Rams in March of this year.
Wroten was an All-SEC performer in 2005 at LSU.
