As noted last week, Orange County Democrat Loretta Sanchez made a vile, despicable comment on a Spanish-only network. Her target was Vietnamese American Van Tran and I took the occasion to grab an interview with him and write an article for Pajamas Media.Tim Cavanaugh over at Reason linked, writing:
In the Univisión interview above, however, Sanchez flips the script by pointing out that Tran is not just a racist, but a goddamn Vietnamese to boot.
The ensuing tempest in a green teapot has helped boost Tran's campaign. He spoke with Left Coast Rebel about his chances and other topics:
If anything, the more I researched Van Tran, the more I liked him. The more I researched Loretta Sanchez, the more I connected-the-dots on just how this nation has gotten to the point where we are under decades of rotting leadership.The "anti-immigrant" attack by Loretta Sanchez couldn’t have been directed toward a less-deserving or more inappropriate target. It is the lowest level of identity politics that one can comprehend.
