It looks like Republican Rep. Darrell Issa has won a couple of key allies in his creative campaign to make Oversight Committee Chairman Ed Towns subpoena potentially damaging records from defunct mortgage lender Countrywide.
Those would be Towns’ Democratic allies, 2nd term Rep. Paul Hodes of New Hampshire and Mike Quigley of Illinois, who won Rahm Emanuel’s seat in April.
Towns has resisted subpoenaing the “Friends of Angelo” Mozilla VIP...
