Dean McDermott Asked Mary Jo Eustace for Divorce After Day of Golf

(Photo Agency)more pics »Dean McDermott chose to let his wife Mary Jo Eustace know that he was having an affair with actress Tori Spelling at a hotel room in Palm Springs, California, after a round of golf. It seems like a setting more suited for asking someone to start a marriage, not end one, but, guess there was no time like the present.

The actor's ex was on The Joy Behar Show yesterday to talk about her new book Divorce Sucks: What to Do When Irreconcilable Differences, Lawyers Fees, and Your Ex Husband's Hollywood Wife Makes You Miserable, and told the audience the story of how her husband broke the news in 2006 that he had met his soul mate in the 90210 alum, and he wanted a divorce after 13 years of marriage.

She said on the show that after Dean admitted he was in love with Tori, she told him: "'You've known her [for] three weeks.' I actually thought it was a joke. I thought I was being punked. But it was true."

The actor is now married to Tori and they have 2 children together. Mary Jo has since moved on, as well. She said about the divorce and how she's grown: "With lawyers and fighting and feeling unloved and unlovable, and the media thrown into it, you really have to take care of yourself and to take care of your kids. It really can be life-affirming ... a wonderful second opportunity in your life. It can be actually, I think, very positive."
