Christie Brinkley, ex-husband reach settlement

Christie Brinkley and her former husband have settled their post-divorce spat before a New York judge.

The dueling exes had accused each other of violating their divorce settlement. It was reached after architect Peter Cook admitted to having an affair with a 19-year-old babysitter.

On Tuesday, Brinkley and Cook told a state Supreme Court justice they had resolved their legal issues.

The specifics were not discussed in court.

Their nasty divorce trial ended in July 2008 with the out-of-court settlement.

Brinkley, a former Sports Illustrated model, got custody of their two children and kept property. He received $2.1 million from Brinkley and liberal visitation rights.

RIVERHEAD, N.Y. (AP) — An attorney for Christie Brinkley's ex-husband says they've been discussing a proposed settlement in their court spat over details of their 2008 divorce.

Brinkley's attorney, Peter Caronia, issued a statement early Tuesday saying a settlement had been reached. That was just hours before the factions were due to face off in a Long Island courtroom.

Later, an attorney for ex-husband Peter Cook, James Winkler, insisted nothing had been set in stone.

Caronia's statement claimed there was an agreement denying Cook's requests — including anger management for the former supermodel.
