In 1998, Celebrity Records hired Loggins Promtions agent, Paul Loggins in
Hollywood, California to promote a series of releases which included the
"Hard Life" and  "Emotional" single by recording artist John Dote'. The single
reached number 6 on the adult-contemporary charts throughout the country.
Paul Loggins, cousin of pop super star Kenny Loggins, has also handled such
giants as Elton John and Mariah Carey.

The single, composed by John Dote', was recorded in San Jose, California at
Celebrity Studio.  The single received a positive response from disc jockeys and
program directors from radio stations around the country. This led to the making
of the full length album titled "Hard Life", that was inspired by legendary San
Francisco radio disc jockey Dave "The Duke" Sholin. Sholin was the last interview

granted by John Lennon before his assination in 1981.

Celebrity Records Presents the CD of "Hard Life" and "Emotional" to
National Radio Disc Jockeys and Program Directors with positive
results which leads to full length album.

After the CD was released, Dote' recieved offers and contracts for the song
"Emotional" from several L.A. based labels. Even The Ventures producer,
Joe Saraceno, told Dote' he needed to get that record out there! That mission has
been accomplished by Music Places.com; an internet radio source, featuring up
and coming artists. Many magazine record review and A&R personel, gave
"Emotional" a high rating in their issues.

Dote' didn't want the stations to know anything about his background in the
music industry. He wanted to know if his music was a "hit" without the hype as
most  labels do. Dote' didn't want the disc jockeys or the program directors to
know he was the drummer of TV's "Hawaii Five-0". But in fact, Dote' has quite a
career himself. It is impossible to hide the fact that he was also the drummer of
"Charlie's Angel's", "Rockford Files", "Baranaby Jones", "Dynasty" and "Dallas",
just to name a few. He too has been in the promotional arena. Dote' has promoted
the likes of Janet Jackson, Santana, Lee Ann Rimes and so many others.

"Emotional" is classified as "adult contemporary" with it's easy listening sound
and "Hard Life" is considered "Alternative" with a reggae flavor. Dote' performed
all the instruments and vocals, as well as  engineered the final mix.

Dote' learned how to play drums by playing to the Beatles Records, listening to
the techniques of Ringo Starr.

Think the life of a rock star is glamorous? Not so indicates a recent report in the
Sunday Mirror (U.K.) that noted even rock stars develop work-related injuries.

Earlier this month, for example, former Beatle’s drummer Ringo Starr was
reported to be recovering from shoulder surgery intended to alleviate problems
stemming from years of drumming. Rock stars, and even wanna-bes, regularly
face risk factors for injuries like repetition and awkward postures, as do other
performing artists.
