Paris Haute Couture Week 2008: Giorgio Armani Prive
Giorgio Armani gave couture a sophisticated shake up during his Prive show in Paris Monday night.
The Italian designer showed a more wearable side to fashion's stereotypically over the top art with tailored skirt suits and tight fitting bodices.
Glamour was added to this sexed up office look with layers of ruffled organza hem lines, oversized bows and huge high collars.Armani also showed off the new must-have 'bulb' skirt- which is tight around the curve of the hip with gathered ruffles at the knee giving e a hint of Paris' Can-can legacy.
Shoes were high with ankle breakingly thin heels, make up dark and smoky and hair in slicked back curls to complete the feminine-power look.
The Prive show was held at Palais du Chaillot by the Eiffel Tower and attracted an A-list audience including actress Hilary Swank, burlesque star Dita Von Teese and screen idol Sophia Loren.
