Filipino martial arts

A group of Hawai'i eskrimadors recently took part in the 10th World Eskrima Kali Arnis Federation Championships in Cebu, Philippines.  

Filipino Martial Arts, more popularly known as "Arnis" or "Eskrima," is based on one thing and one thing alone: survival.  

Kali is the ancient martial arts of the Philippines, known as a stick fighting art but also has a comprehensive empty hand and grappling system to support the weaponry.  

Malmo Martial Arts is now enrolling for adult classes in Bentonville. Offered instruction includes Muay Thai, Jujitsu, Mixed Martial Arts, Kombatan Arnis, and Pencak Silat.

Kali's Sports Pub on Main Street in Keene is now Tommy's Sports Corner, and along with the new name comes some changes to the bar. Last spring the apartments located above the bar flooded. Much of the inside of Kali's was damaged and needed renovations.
