She made her film debut in Danny Boyle's "Slumdog Millionaire," for which she was nominated for the BAFTA Award for Best Actress in a Supporting Role. She was featured as one of People Magazine's "Most Beautiful People," and is one of Zimbio's best dressed celebrities of 2009.
Who wants to make a movie from a lame American TV show?
Well this is the second, and it’s pretty good - Slumdog Millionaire. I’m not sure the show actually started in the US. The first I refer to to is the 2006 French film Mon meilleur ami where the game-show wasn’t as central to the plot. Slumdog is a bit conventional at times, and ultimately sort of a date movie. But I’ll be looking for more Freida Pinto work…
