Girls Gone Wild is a video series about "wild" girls, mostly showing off their breasts. The brand was built up by late night TV ads. Girls Gone Wild founder, Joe Francis, has been in the news and under police investigation on bribery charges. The Girls Gone Wild franchise also made news when it offered American Idol contestant Antonella Barba a contract to host a Girls Gone Wild party.
LOS ANGELES, Nov. 6 /PRNewswire/ -- A federal judge handed down a sentence in the tax evasion case against Girls Gone Wild founder Joe Francis today, ending the entrepreneur's long legal nightmare. U.S. District Court Judge S. James Otero approved a binding plea deal and sentenced Francis to time served, meaning Francis faces no additional jail time. Last month, Francis pled guilty to two misdemeanor counts of filing false tax returns.
