While Gwen has never left the public eye, fellow band mates are probably enjoying the limelight once again.

From an article at TheImproper:

No Doubt and its amped up lead singer Gwen Stefani are shaking off the rust and setting off for a coast-to-coast tour, their first in five years, that hopefully will yield an album of songs.

The band officially hit the road on Sunday (May 3) at the Jersey Meadowlands’ Bamboozle Festival but not before warm ups in New York City and Atlantic City.

The band first appeared Friday (May 1) on NBC’s Today Show, where their performance was, ahem, a little rough-edged. Stefani acknowledged at later that she screwed up three times while singing.

According to one observer, Stefani had some problems keeping up with the runs and handed the mike off to the crowd during and even rougher stretch.

It’s been so long since the band toured, some fans slept on the sidewalks outside the NBC studios at Rockefeller Center to catch the three-song set. The band kicked off with "Spiderwebs" and followed with "Don't Speak" and wrapped up the event with "It's My Life," their Talk Talk cover from 2003.

Stefani look fit and totally stellar in a black Fred Perry top, bleached jeans, platform shoes and red suspenders. The band was dressed in white except, that is, for drummer Adrian Young who wore striped knee-socks.
