SAN FRANCISCO (MarketWatch) -- Standard & Poor's Ratings Services on Friday raised Advanced Micro Devices Inc.'s rating to B- from CCC+ after Intel agreed to pay AMD $1.25 billion to settle all outstanding legal disputes. "The rating reflects AMD's inconsistent and weak operating profitability, challenged market position in microprocessors, and high debt burden," said Lucy Patricola, an S credit analyst.
