Hulk Hogan (born August 11, 1953), or Terry Gene Bollea, is an American icon and one of the most successful and recognizable professional wrestlers of all time. His fanbase, called "Hulkamaniacs," are still very much organized and sort of scary. He is also known for the reality show "Hogan Knows Best" and his family issues. The New York Times Book Review devoted space today to Hulk Hogan's new memoir, My Life Outside the Ring, and Dave Itzkoff takes Hogan to task for excessive oversharing: "His compulsive confessing feels more like an effort to pre-empt the Us Weeklys and TMZs of the world than an authentic attempt at soul-searching."
