Thought I’d start taking a look at some of the new sitcoms coming out this year, and I’ve decided to start with Fox , since that’s the channel I find myself watching the most these days. Hot off his television-directing debut with the pilot for "Do Not Disturb," actor and now director Jason Bateman has signed a 'first-look' contract with 20th Century Fox television. Under the one-year agreement, Bateman will develop television show projects for the studio through his F+A Production Company. 20th TV chairmen Dana Walden and Gary Newman were impressed by Bateman's work on "Do Not Disturb," a workplace comedy starring Jerry O'Connell that was the only comedy pilot Fox picked up as a new series for next season.
