Juanita Bynum’s Husband Confesses

Thomas Weeks, the estranged husband of pastor Juanita Bynum has confessed in court that he did indeed assault her in an Atlanta parking lot.

This comes after months of denials by him, where he tried to discredit her claims. Weeks has accepted a plea deal of three years probation and community service.

Bynum was quoted as saying “I don’t believe my husband is a criminal. I don’t believe he is a man who deserves to be put in jail.”

Respectfully, I disagree. In life we are not what we say, but what we do. Our actions define us more than our words. He committed a violent felony and I hope he never does that again. You don’t deserve that. No woman does. But it is good that you have forgiven him.

Weeks pleaded guilty to aggravated assault in Fulton County Superior Court on Tuesday, and was sentenced to three years’ probation.
