Juanita Bynum Wears Wedding Gown to 50th Birthday Bash

I’m at a point now where all I have left for Juanita Bynum is compassion. I just thank God that I have a happy marriage with a man who is perfect for my personality and temperament.

I have no idea what Juanita is going through. I also have no idea why she decided to wear her wedding gown to her 50th birthday party.

I do like what she said about her late father:

I remember sleeping in my bed for four days straight with no appetite and extremely depressed. My father asked me with a fierce anger, “What is your name?” And I said, “Juanita Bynum.” And he said, “Don’t you ever forget it; now get up!” I never stayed in my bed like that again. He was my rock, because he was that real man that was tangible; that helped to reaffirm and validate myself again. When a man takes your femininity and womanhood and treats you like you’re nothing more than trash it’s devastating. Through it all my dad was there. When my divorce was finalized on a Friday, my father called and said, “I want you to fly to the top.” That following Monday he fell down dead in our kitchen from a heart attack. It’s been seven months now.

And note also her reference to “bishop” Weeks. She indicated that he treated her like trash. I’m glad she sees it. He was insanely jealous of her. She married nothing and she got nothing. I can’t help but feel for her.

One more thing before I close out this article.  In the Essence interview Juanita made an odd comment.  She said that she is married to her “destiny” and said she will remain faithful to “her”. 

Juanita Bynum is a woman saying she will remain faithful to a feminine thing as her spouse.  Hello????
