Kim Raver Jumps From '24' to 'Grey's Anatomy'

Audiences recognize Kim Raver from her roles on the series 24 and Lipstick Jungle, but get ready to see this actress in another high-profile role. According to TV Guide, Kim's joining the likes of Patrick Dempsey, Ellen Pompeo and Katherine Heigl in a recurring role on Grey's Anatomy.

Raver will be playing a surgeon, and she'll first appear in the ninth episode of the season (November 12). On a romantic note, she'll also apparently create a love triangle in the relationship between Owen (Kevin McKidd) and Cristina (Sandra Oh). Juicy.

Entertainment Weekly reports that back in August, McKidd revealed that Owen had a skeleton in his closet just waiting to come out -- and it emerges this season. He said, "Someone comes to the hospital that he was connected to in his past, not his ex-fiancée, but it’s somebody we didn’t expect. I think it could get a little tricky, but exciting and interesting. Hopefully it will bring [Owen and Cristina] closer in the long run."
