A major water main broke shortly after 6 a.m., sending a cascade of water along Las Vegas Boulevard, at the Las Vegas Strip's Riviera Boulevard. Water gushed along the Strip, turning the resort corridor between Sahara Avenue and Riviera Boulevard into a river. Metro Police restricted traffic lanes going south to one lane because of the water. All but one lane has since been reopened.
