Lauren Conrad Was Kidding, Lo Won't Star in 'L.A. Candy' Movie

Lauren Conrad said yesterday that she was "totally kidding" when she offhandedly spouted that Lo (Lauren Bosworth) would be the star of the movie based on LC's best-selling book L.A. Candy. Psych! Did we really think she'd let another Hills gal soak up any of the spotlight, anyway?

Lauren's not starring in the flick either, though. She's actually an executive producer. She told Us magazine about her new gig: "It's my new hat. I like hats, and I get to wear lots of them!"

But, she recently took off her Hills hat and it seems like she's doing just fine without the SoCal drama. "I'm a different kind of busy," she said about leaving the show. "I have more stress and deadlines at work than I do in my personal life."

We guess she got so tired of the kiss-and-tell shenanigans on the MTV show that she's opted to never go there again -- her real life's staying off the camera. It's been a good ride, but she said, "I closed that door. We have been talking about some different stuff that's more fashion-related, so we'll see."
