Levi Johnston to Sue Bristol Palin for Joint Custody of Son Tripp

(Getty Images)more pics »With just days to go before Levi Johnston's photo spread for Playgirl hits the stands, the most famous 19-year-old single dad from Alaska is keeping in the headlines with news to today that the teen will be suing to obtain joint custody of his son, Tripp Palin.

Speaking to The Insider, Johnston says that the Palin family has made it too difficult to see his son, and he has no choice to be seek legal recourse. "At the end of the month I'm going to file for joint custody of Tripp," says Johnston.

"It's not working. I'm done," he adds. "It's going to have to go to court. They just finally pushed me over the edge.

Johnston and Britsol Palin, seen above together at the Republican National Convention in September of 2008, had planned to wed. However, the couple broke up in March of this year, leading to a very public and very acrimonious feud between the Palin and Johnston clan. In April, while appearing on Tyra Banks' talk show, Johnston said that he was considering suing for custody. Looks like he was serious.
