Luca De Meo

Luca De Meo, Chief Marketing Officer of the Fiat Group and CEO of the Alfa Romeo and Abarth automobile companies, has just received the 2008 Chief Marketing Officer of the Year Award at a ceremony in Frankfurt, Germany.  

SUV sales may be in a freefall in the U.S., but that hasn't deterred Alfa Romeo CEO Luca De Meo from his plans.  

Booz & Company together with an international jury honours the Champions League of European marketing. Madeleen Klaasen, Luca de Meo and Dr. Hannes Ametsreiter are this year’s winners of the “CMO of the Year 2008” awards.  

Antonio Baravalle, the main man at Alfa Romeo for the past eight years, has just stepped down as CEO of the automaker.
