March Madness NCAA Tournament

UCLA linebacker Reggie Carter and coach Rick Neuheisel met with the Southern California media on Monday to talk about the Bruins' loss at Oregon over the weekend and to preview the upcoming Stanford game.  

WSU soccer faced two tough opponents over the weekend but came up short of a win.  

LeGarrette Blount wriggled out of the reach of half a dozen UCLA defenders, and with him went any shot of a Bruins win. Blount's 69-yard touchdown run with less than three minutes left in the fourth quarter Saturday night helped Oregon sneak by UCLA 31-24 at Autzen Stadium.  

Outside of that Texas A&M is the only other team that we see having a shot at making the NCAA tournament. The rest of the league has some catching up to do. ...  

The onsides kick UCLA tried in the third quarter was something the Bruins spent some time with in practice, and like in the game, the Bruins had trouble staying onsides. The Bruins pulled within 21-14 on Kahlil Bell's 2-yard score in the last minute of the third quarter.  

The Bruins come up short, 31-24, against the Ducks and drop to 2-4.  

UCLA receiver Terrence Austin returned to Los Angeles with the team early this morning after tests revealed he suffered a strained neck and concussion during the Bruins' 31-24 loss to Oregon on Saturday.  

Bruins' road struggles continue. EUGENE, Ore. -- Oregon quarterback Jeremiah Masoli proved to be a little too slippery for UCLA to handle.

*** UCLA must take the crowd out of the game. Autzen is the loudest and most hostile stadium on the West Coast and the fans are right on top of the field.
